Hundreds of Autauga County students enjoyed a classroom out-doors May 9 & 10th during the annual Friends of the Forest 2017.
Fifth grade students were able to learn about managing natural resources, identifying and understanding needs of forest inhabitants, identifying local trees, and understanding the need to keep forestland and water systems clean.
Friends of the Forest was held on the Autauga County Treasured Forest property of Martha and Jimmy Hughes. This annual event is offered at no cost to all 5th grade students in public, private, or home schools in Autauga County.
