Barbour County Receives Award

Barbour County 4-H Achieves Centennial Youth Initiative Status

The Barbour County Extension Office is proud to announce that it received CYI (Centennial Youth Initiative) status for the 4-H program. This means that our County will be receiving a full-time 4-H agent. We have been sharing an agent with Russell County for many years. It is a great accomplishment for our program. On July 11, the Barbour County staff will receive a crystal clover trophy from ACES Director Gary Lemme during the County Commission meeting. A proclamation will be presented to the Barbour County staff recognizing the programs accomplishments.

Since the start of the 2016-2017 school year, Barbour County 4-H has reached over 3,000 youth in Barbour County.
