Taber Mill Road Clean-up by Bibb County 4-H Youth Leadership

Nine (9) 4-H Bibb County Youth Leadership (BCYL) program participants—all high school juniors—led by Bibb County Extension’s Matthew Hartzell, cleaned up 100 pounds of litter on Taber Mill Road Monday afternoon, April 23. This cleanup was conducted in partnership with the Bibb County Commission, WastePro and the Alabama People Against A Littered State (ALPALS) ‘Don’t Drop It On Alabama’ Cleanup Week. Monday’s effort marked the 7th consecutive year that BCYL has cleaned up this 1/2 mile stretch of Taber Mill Road, a 1/2 mile long dirt road between West Blocton and Centreville, as a service project. Many thanks to the youth participants, Bibb County Commission Administrator Derek Reeves, and Pam Vanderslice with Advanced Disposal for their help with this effort!
