 2018 Replacement Female Sale

The 20th Annual Herdbuilder Replacement Female Sale will be held August 31st 2018 at Alabama Livestock Auction in Uniontown Alabama beginning at 11:00 a.m. CDT.  Herdbuilder Sale is a marketing program conducted by the Animal Science Team of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.  Consignments are currently being accepted.  Guidelines for consignment and Entry Form can be found here.

Preference for consignments is given to beef cattle producers from Central and West Alabama that have working relationships with the extension team.  Consignments from other areas in Alabama will be by invitation only. Cattle consigned must be calved on the farm of the consignor or purchased and developed as qualifying open heifers and developed by the consignor. Priority will be given to home raised bred heifers.  Please see the sale guidelines for specific entry information.

Information on consignments will be posted beginning in early July.  Check back to see this years offering.

Alabama Master Naturalist Program

The Alabama Master Naturalist program is a new statewide program whose goal is to help promote awareness, understanding, and respect of Alabama’s natural world among Alabama’s citizens and visitors. In addition, the AMN program will also develop a statewide corps of well-informed volunteers providing education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities.
