On April 23, 2016, Conecuh County 4-H hosted the Pig Squeal Show and Auction at Hillcrest High School in Evergreen, Ala. This was the first time for the event in Conecuh County. Thirteen participants received two 60-day-old feeder pigs in January and raised them for 120 days.  Participants had the opportunity to develop swine management skills and an awareness of business management and learned how to raise a healthy animal for meat production. The day of the show and auction, participants competed in showmanship and weight class divisions.
