There is still time for homeowners to fertilize those pecan trees located in the yard. Many times the questions arises as to how much fertilizer to use. The correct answer is to perform a soil test and use that soil test to guide fertilizer applications. However, if a soil test is not available, Dr. Bill Goff, retired Auburn University Pecan Specialists, gives the following rule of thumb:
