4-H STEM Clubs

Explore the world of robotics, computers, rockets, and Maker with 4-H!

Robotics Club 

Join us as we learn more about computers and engineering while building and programming Lego Robot kits. Members also work on projects they can use in 4-H and UNA  robotics competitions. The Robotics Club meets at the Extension Office in the Franklin County Courthouse.

 Club meetings: 5:00 – 7:00 pm  at the Franklin County Extension Office (Courthouse basement)

GigaKids Club 

Learn computer programming through both “unplugged” activities and online programming with lessons from CS First and using MIT’s Scratch software.  4-H’ers will showcase projects at a STEM Showcase in Russellville in March. This is a regional club, and is open to youth ages 9-18 in Colbert, Franklin, and Lauderdale Counties.

December 4 – Hour of Code challenge

Club meetings: 4:30p – 6:30p at the Colbert County Extension Office (Courthouse basement)

Maker Projects

Look for more information coming about a 4-H Maker Club! We’ll give you the materials and the challenge, and you figure out how to make it happen. It will be great fun – and learning! – for all of our budding engineers and artists.
