4-H Summer Camp 2016

Thirty-seven youth from Lamar County, ages 9-14,  recently participated in 4-H Summer Camp at the 4-H Center in Columbiana, Alabama. Campers were able to participate in rotational group activities such as arts & crafts, robotics, rocketry, Alabama the Great (reptile program), rock wall climbing, giant swing, clover hop, swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, sports, survival skills, archery, and fishing. After the first night of camp, campers were able to participate in a hoedown where they were served popcorn and lemonade as well as tie dyed bandannas, played corn hole and many other games. The last night of camp consisted of a campfire where campers roasted marshmallows, watched skits and participated in campfire songs.
