The 2016 Chick Chain project begins today for youth in Marengo county. At a meeting in April, the 4-H’ers learned about all that was needed to care for their baby chicks. The project “took flight” today as the participating youth picked up their chicks at the Marengo County Extension Office. During the summer months, each participant will be visited by extension staff to evaluate the status of their Chick Chain Project. The project ends on October 8, 2016 with a Regional Chick Chain Show and Auction at the Marengo County Extension Office.
