The Pike County Extension Office will be hosting a farm and landowner estate planning workshop on Thursday, June 15th from 6:15 PM until 9:00 PM. Dr. Robert Tufts, from Auburn University, will be covering topics such as succession planning, basic documents in an estate plan, issues specific to landowners, avoiding probate, estate (death) taxes, and several other areas that would be of specific interest to farm and landowners.
If you are a farm or landowner, and it is important to you for your farm and land to stay in the family and that your farming-children will have use of your land, consider signing up for this informative workshop. The cost of the workshop is $10 which includes dinner. To register, call the Pike County Extension Office at 566-0985 by 4:00 PM on Monday, June 12th.
